Ingo Mugge Handcrafted French Polish Indian Rosewood & Enelmann Spruce Torres/Hauser Style Classical Guitar
This classical guitar was made all by hand by Ingo Mugge in the Woodbridge Guitar Shop here in Connecticut. This classical was built using the plans that Hauser used for the guitar that he built for Andres Segovia in 1937. Featuring a standard 65 cm scale length, a Engelmann spruce top and Indian Rosewood back and sides this guitar has a classic tonality and aesthetic. This guitar's construction features the "fluting" principle that was first introduced to the guitar world by Richard Jacob Weissgerber some 75 years ago. The fluting technique is when you the outside edges of the guitars soundboard to maximize its vibrational capacity. This guitar was finished in a hand-rubbed French polish finish with pumicing for grain filling. The neck material is Spanish cedar and has a Ebony fingerboard, a cocobolo headpalte, Spanish heel joint, and traditional Torres/Hauser style fan-bracing. Please contact us if you have any questions. This is a great sounding classical guitar.
